Cherry; his daughters, Marianne Cherry Lewis (Cameron) of Fuquay Varina and Caroline Cherry (Blake Compliment) of Washington; his stepson Gilbert Thomas Rutledge (Jennifer) of Raleigh; and his grandchildren, Harper Leigh Rutledge, Max Thomas Rutledge and Catherine Elizabeth Lewis. He was also cherished by two aunts and several cousins.
