It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Lee Lilley of Washington, North Carolina, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on January 13, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Elward Estep and Sarah Hilda Rawlings Estep; her former husband Fred Ashton Bissette; her daughter Carol Ashlee Bissette; and her husband Harold Rayford Lilley, Sr..
She is survived by: her brothers, Charles A. Estep (Gwen) of Washington, NC and John E. Estep of Cheltenham, MD.; her nephew Andrew R. Estep (Emma) of New York; her niece Rebecca L. Grike (Matt) of New Jersey; and her stepsons, H. Rayford "Ray" Lilley, Jr. (Judy) of Washington, NC, Thomas "Tommy" B. Lilley (Sonya) of Washington, NC and Russell L. Lilley (Cortni) of Chocowinity, NC. She is also survived by seven step-grandchildren and 11 step-great grandchildren.
The family requests those attending the service wear protective masks and practice social distancing.
