Vail Kugler Hawkins Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 2, 2021, at the age of 87, Vail Kugler Hawkins (Washington, North Carolina), born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jesse Harold Hawkins Jr.; her parents, Frank Cannon Kugler Jr. and Viola Freeman Kugler; and her sisters, Jane Kugler Ross and Franke Kugler Rumley.
She is survived by: her sons, Jesse Harold Hawkins III (Diane) of Morehead City, Frank Cannon Kugler Hawkins (Jennifer) of Wilmington and John MacDonald Hawkins (Brenda) of Hawkins Beach; her grandchildren, Leigh Hawkins (Hawkins Dunn), Mariah Hawkins Edwards (James), Jensen Hawkins, Cannon Hawkins, Nathan Hawkins and Shane Hawkins; her great grandchildren, Cora Vail, Sadie and James Edwards IV; her sister Reid Kugler Solomon (Joe); and her brother-in-law Stewart Rumley. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made in Vail's memory to the Helping Hands Ministry of First Presbyterian Church, Washington.
