He was predeceased by: his parents, Ola Forbes, Sr. and Edna Smith Forbes; his wife Irene Glover Forbes; and his siblings, Anne Forbes Bell and Ola Forbes, Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, Worth Forbes, Jr. (Karen) of Greenville, Mark Forbes (Amy) of Cary and Daniel Ellsworth Forbes (Jaime Woolard) of Washington; his brother Bill Forbes (Gloria) of Colorado; his grandchildren, Thompson Forbes (Julie), Caroline Burroughs (Jason), Camille Rizzi (Paul), Adam Forbes (Haley), Joshua Daniel, Zoe MacKay, Katie Irene Forbes, Grayson and Danica Woolard; and his great grandchildren, Braxton, Garrison and Anna Forbes. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
