She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Alston Potter, Sr. and Mollie Arbell Wilkins Potter; and her husband Donald Ray Tiedemann. She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Tyer (Robert) of Pamlico Beach and Daphne Allen (Clint); her grandchildren, Emily Billups (Lyn), Dakota Brinn, Destiny Allen, Hinton Allen, Robby Tyer, Lisa Nimons (Henry) and Justin Allen (Janine); her great grandchildren, Briley Jamison, Addy Jamison and Henry Thomas Nimons; and her siblings, Sammie Potter (Helen) of Pamlico Beach, Faye Payne (Michael) of Bath, Doris Davis (Ottis) of Williamston and Durwood Potter.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to the Sybil Tiedemann Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889. This memorial fund will be used to assist several family members who are currently battling cancer.
