She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Thalmann and Anita Kathryn Thalmann (Foote); her son Alexander "Alex" Thalmann; and her brother Edward Deforest Thalmann. She is survived by: her nieces, Katherine Thalmann Smith of Durham, NC and Amanda Thalmann; and her cousins, Douglas James and Vern James.
