He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Beasley and Lessie Beasley; his daughter Angela Beasley; his grandson Christopher Neil Beasley; his siblings, Howard of Walter, C. W., Charles Beasley, Sarah Sparks and Erma Johnson; and his stepgrandson Joshua Blaine Ayers.
He is survived by: his wife Minerva Matthews; his children, Howard K. Beasley (Vickie) of Williamsburg, VA, Terry L. Beasley (Sonya) of Chocowinity and Sandra B. Atkins (William K. Atkins, Jr.) of Durham; his grandson William M. Atkins III (Kadey Fisher); his great grandchild Aniston Atkins; and his stepgrandson Ethan Wayne Ayers.
