He was predeceased by: his parents, Leanier Dixon and Annie Tyer Dixon; his siblings, Mazell Reel, Lennie Marie Dixon, Ernest Elbert, Charlie J., Jay Bryan, Ezekiel Bill, L. D., Jr. and Billy Curtis Dixon; and his half-siblings, Theodore Dixon and Bernice Dixon.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Chesson; his children, Debbie Dixon Gibbs (David) of Washington, Teressa Dixon Parker (Wayne) of Washington, Michael Dixon (Melisa) of Washington and Jay Dixon (Tammy) of Washington; his grandchildren, Amy Cherry Voliva, Charles Cherry, Derrick Boyd, Matthew Dixon and Kelsey Padgett; his great grandchildren, Trey, Emaleigh, Grayson Cherry and Mackenzie Voliva; and his sisters, Margie Dixon McGowan of Washington and Mildred Dixon Roberson of Greensboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
