We are sad to announce that on January 23, 2025, at the age of 96, Rena Sykes Wood of Washington, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Wiley Wood; her son Robert Wood; her granddaughter Sharon Wood; and her siblings, Agnes Creech, Janice Dudley and Marvin Sykes.
She is survived by: her children, Evelyn Finch and Randy Wood (Debbie); her grandchildren, Kenneth Hurst, Valerie Finch, Suzanne Ennis (Blake), Sara Tison (Tom), Lakesia Brown (Dante) and Peter Widmayer (Kristen); and her stepgrandchildren, Shawn Daniels and Tammie Stafford. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Paul Funeral Home - Washington (900 John Small Ave, Washington, NC 27889).
