She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Herman Watson, Sr. and Sally Estelle Respess Watson; her husband Joseph "Heber" Rose, Sr.; her daughter Terry; her son-in-law Arthur Vander Aa, Jr.; her grandsons, Joseph Heber Rose III and Ryan Nicholas Sawyer; and her siblings, Hubert Watson, Jr., Virginia Cox, Drucilla Kilpatrick and Ann Boyd.
She is survived by: her children, Sally Respess (Keith) of Bath, Deborah R. Sawyer (Ronald) of Kingsland, GA, Joseph H. Rose, Jr. (Rita) of Belhaven and Christopher H. Rose of Belhaven. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Hunter's Bridge Church of Christ, Senior Ministries, 15158 US Hwy. 264, Pinetown, NC 27865.
