She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father Louis Edward Gurganus; her husband Robert "Bob" Alligood; her children, Gregg, Karen A. Thomas, MD (Bill) of Washington, NC and Toni A. Jennings (Carlisle) of Hampstead, NC; her granddaughter Katherine G. Thomas of Libby, MT; her daughter-in-law Pat H. Alligood of Norristown, PA; her siblings, Kent Gurganus of Bath, NC, Eleanor Gurganus Humphrey and Betty Gurganus Elliott of Bath, NC; and her sister-in-law Virginia Gurganus of Virginia Beach, VA..
