She was predeceased by: her parents, Giffin Caswell Daughtridge and Nellie Beatrice Lanier Daughtridge; her husband William Harold Bowen; and her siblings, Dr. Truman Giffin Daughtridge and Nell Emily Munnell.
She is survived by: her children, Giffin Harold "Hal" Bowen of Seaford, DE and Melanie B. Simmons (Phillip) of Acre Station; her brother Stan Daughtridge of Belhaven; her grandchildren, William Phillip "Will" Simmons (Tori) of Pantego, Adam Chandler Simmons (Savanna) of Acre Station, Katherine Elizabeth Simmons of Greenville and Faith Abagail Bowen-Pittard (Davey) of Spartanburg, SC; and her great grandchildren, Carter Gray Steigerwald and Jovi Claire Simmons Mrs.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, Patient Assistance Fund, 1209 Brown Street, Washington, NC 27889.
