With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary P. Williams (Washington, North Carolina), born in Valdosta, Georgia, who passed away on November 19, 2020 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary P. Williams to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Carroll Powell and Bessie Ellen Wilkes Powell; her husband James Edwin Williams (Jim); her brother E. C. Powell (Buck); and her son James Edwin Williams, Jr. (Jimmy).
She is survived by: her daughter Patricia Williams Jackson (William Fleet); her grandchild Dr. Tracy Powell Jackson; her great grandchildren, Samuel Crawford Jackson, Benjamin Hayes Jackson, Peyton Caroline Bode, Emlyn Belle Bode and Autumn Everly Bode; and her cousins, Michele Corey, Estella Beavers, Charmee Williams, Evelyn Griffin and Ida Green. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID, there will be no visitation other than at the graveside. Masks and social distancing are encouraged.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Capital Building Fund, First United Methodist Church, 304 W. 2nd Street, Washington, NC 27889.
