In loving memory of Mamie Jackson Cox of Washington, North Carolina, who departed this world on January 21, 2025 at the age of 97. Mamie leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Benjamin Jackson and Lillian Winfield Jackson; her spouse Leslie Willis Cox; her siblings, Marky Jackson Boss and George Jackson; and her granddaughter Lillian Chason.

She is survived by: her children, Leslie "Skeet" W. Cox, Jr. (Libby) of Louisburg, NC and Cate "Cathy" Cox Chason (Eric) of Barrington, RI; her granddaughter Hannah Chason (Barret) of Pawtucket, RI; her brother Clarence B. "Bennie" Jackson (Joanna) of Hampstead; and her stepgrandchildren, Megan Lively (Vincent), Maria Allen (David) and Bradd Nichols (Candace). She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to, First Christian Church, 307 W. 3rd St., Washington, NC 27889.
