She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Hyman Ormond and Lillian McGowan Ormond; her spouse Rush Cox; and her grandson Joe S. Thurmon, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Peggy Edwards (Tommy) of Washington and Joyce Blackmon (Kirk) of Washington; her grandchildren, Marshall L. Thurmon of Washington, Billy G. Thurmon (Lori) of Washington, Jackie O. Woolard (Johnny) of Washington, Hope Manning of Greenville, Amanda Blackmon of Washington and Paula Weathington (Monte) of Washington; her great grandchildren, Christie of Washington, Brown of Washington, Joshua E. Clark of Washington, Haley Weathington of Washington, Tenley Weathington of Washington and David S. Brown of Plymouth; and her great great grandchild Gracie T. Clark of Washington.
