It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Whisenant Gray (Washington, North Carolina), who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Walter Jason Whisenant; her son Baby Boy Dixon; and her granddaughter Cheyenne Dixon-Mayo. She is survived by: her mother Shirley Whisenant; her husband Henry Gray; her daughters, Nicole Lewis (Jason), Stacey Burbage (Michael Wayne) and Bethany Thomas (Chris); her brothers, Michael Whisenant and Walter Whisenant (Marie); and her grandchildren, Alyssa Lewis, Carter Thomas, Jace Everett, Mason Burbage and Michael Burbage.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Riverview Baptist Church (6228 Clarks Neck Rd, Washington, NC 27889). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
