He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Toler and Reba Paramore Toler; and his siblings, Bill Toler, Fraye Shuler and Sylvia Lewis.

He is survived by: his wife Audrey Toler; his children, Joey Toler (Ned) of Wilmington, Mike Toler (Cindy) of Morehead City and Amanda Toler Kelso (Scott) of Cary; his siblings, Dallas Toler of Blounts Creek, Gary Toler (Dorothy) of Chocowinity and Sandra Mayo (Sam) of Blounts Creek; his grandchildren, Graham Toler, Alaina Toler, Hank Toler, Carly Bolster (Raven), William Kelso and Andrew Kelso; and his great grandchildren, Rustyn Gambardella, Asher Gambardella and Cambri Bolster.
