He is survived by: his parents, Joseph Taylor Buck, Sr. and Susan Brown Callahan (Jack); his sister Meredith Buck Rawls (Brad); his nephew Austin Bradford Rawls; his niece Mary Whitley Rawls; his grandmother Olga Buck; his aunts and uncles, Brenda Buck Phillips, Lisa Brown Ruark (Stephen), Brick Brown (Mary Craig) and Douglas Chrismon; and his cousins, Jim Phillips (Shelby), Caroline Rawls (Bonner), Elizabeth Harris, William Harris, Erica Chrismon, Allison Chrismon, Whitley Brown (Abby) and Annie Brown Montague.

A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Saint Peter's Episcopal Church (101 N Bonner St, Washington, NC 27889). A reception was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the All Saint's Hall.
