He is survived by: his stepfather Ronald Esler of Middletown Delaware; his stepson Shawn Absher; and his children, John Steven Novotny Jr., Mikel Wyatt Novotny, Megan Ryan Fink and Amber Mae Novotny. He is also survived by siblings, nieces and nephews, grandchildren.
