He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Mizelle and Gertie Viola Cratt Mizelle; and his siblings, Heber Mizelle, C. B. Mizelle, Marvin Mizelle and Shelby Beacham.
He is survived by: his wife Shelby S. Mizelle; his children, Joel Mizelle (Lisa) of Washington, Randall Mizelle (Andy Rosemurgy) of Orlando, FL, Michael Mizelle (Jennifer) of Raleigh and Garyn Mizelle (Meredith) of Washington; and his grandchildren, Hayley Mizelle, Kevin Mizelle, Sydney Mizelle, Vivian Mizelle, Ben Mizelle and Ella Mizelle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
