He was predeceased by: his parents, Gunther Bienes and Erna Bienes; and his brother Nick Bienes. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Edwards Bienes; his stepchildren, Susan Fowle (John), Robin McKeithan (Ray) and Cam McLean (Krissy); his grandchildren, Marshall Fowle (Jenny), Mary Margaret Alligood (Thomas), Holt, Ben McKeithan, Mason, Brenner and Cortlan McLean; his great grandchild Jack Fowle; his cousins, Magaretha Gross of St. Michaels and Austria; and also, Martina, Martin and Patrick.
