It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Alligood of Washington, North Carolina, born in Beaufort, North Carolina, who passed away on January 7, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Skinner Hodges, Sr. and Minnie Willard Hodges; her husband Robert Jordan Alligood; and her siblings, Hope Taylor and Harry Skinner Hodges, Jr..
She is survived by: her sons, Robert Jordan Alligood, Dwayne Alligood (Catherine) of New Bern and Brian Alligood (April) of Washington; her grandchildren, Claire Stevens (Cody), Taylor Alligood, Nicholas Alligood, Sydney Alligood, Benjamin Gurganus (Jessica) and Joshua Gurganus; and her sisters, Mary Smith of Chocowinity and Evelyn Hill of Greenville.
