He was predeceased by: his parents, Furman Merritt and Janie "Polly" Faulkner Holland. He is survived by: his sons, Samuel Merritt, Brent Windley and Lawson Riddick; the mother of his children Brandi Windley Cagle of Belhaven; his sisters, Melita Holland of La Crosse, VA and Dee Holland-Brock (Wanda) of La Crosse, VA; his aunts, Barbara Holland Scott and Pam Phillips (Jimmy) of Kingstree, SC; and also, Clint McMakin and Rodney Glass.
