He was predeceased by: his father James F. Ricks; his wife Evelyn Maree MacKenzie; his sons, Monty and Jerry Ricks; and his sisters, Nita, Jean and Lavonne.
He is survived by: his children, Anthony Ricks, Anne Pokorski and Jennifer Cannon; and his brother Hall. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
