She was predeceased by: her parents, George Noah "Jack" Lee and Delsie Magdalene Craig Lee; her husband Henry Clifton Newberry; her brothers, Edmund Varner Lee, Sr. and Henry Hyrum Toler; and her son-in-law Bryant Hardison.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Hardison of Bath and Teresa S. Weaver of Carolina Beach; her grandchildren, Joshua Hardison of Plymouth, Katherine Hardison Hosey (Alan) of Bath and Molly Hardison Brickhouse (Samuel Brickhouse IV); and her great grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn Hosey, Brianna May Hosey, Ava Grace Hosey, Delilah June Hosey, Samuel Brickhouse V and Isaac Thomas Brickhouse.
