She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gilbert Tyre and Annie Bell Hopkins Tyre; her husband Josh Tayloe Walker; and her brother Darrell Tyre. She is survived by: her children, Tammy W. Keech (Whitford) of Washington, Wendy W. Jones (Kenneth) of New Bern, Misty W. Curry (Michael) of Walnut Cove, NC and Christopher Hardison Tyre of Williamston; her brother Kenneth Tyre of Tampa, FL; and her grandchildren, Amanda Jones, Walker, Carson Jones, Dwayne Tyre and Casey Harris. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
