She was predeceased by: her parents, James Kennedy and Lelia Wheeler Dobbins Nettles; her husband James Laten McGhee; and her brothers, James Kennedy Nettles Jr. and Robert Nettles.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Woolard of Washington, James Kennedy McGhee of Ivor, VA, Susan McGhee of Suffolk, VA, Ronald McGhee of Chesapeake, VA and Sandra Mumert of Franklin, VA; and her sisters, Josephine Byrum of Newport News and Irene Gray of Hampton, VA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
