It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hester Anne Kidd of Washington, North Carolina, born in Newton Grove, North Carolina, who passed away on April 13, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. William Edward Kidd; her son William Edward Kidd, Jr.; and her siblings, Reverend Henry A. Bizzell, Jr. and Ruth Hudson Hamilton. She is survived by: her son Henry Matthews Kidd (Amanda Kidd); her daughter-in-law Jane Kidd; her grandchildren, Henry Matthews Kidd, Jr. (Samara), Anne Rowland Kidd and William Bryan Kidd; and her caregivers, Wanda Swain, Penney Doughtie, Sheila Lassiter, Sandra Keech, Vernice Hawkins, Dee Bailey and Faye Floyd. She is also survived by numerous nieces and cousins.
