It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hackney High Sr. (Washington, North Carolina), who passed away on September 1, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hackney William High and Rachel Rawls High; and his wife Jill Barnhill. He is survived by: his son William Hackney High, Jr. (Martha Harless High) of Edenton; his grandchildren, Molly Castleton High of Austin, TX and William Hackney High III of Chapel Hill; his son John Barnhill High (Sarah Whitt High) of Durham; and his grandchildren, John Barnhill Jack, High, Jr. of Chapel Hill, Alexander Thomas High of Chapel Hill and Rachel Frances High of Durham.
