It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Grace Rice (Washington, North Carolina), born in Beaufort, North Carolina, who passed away on September 13, 2020, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Harris and Alice Taylor Harris; her children, Esther Rice Mayo, Gerald Freeman Rice and Leonard "Lenny" Rice; her grandson Shaun Christopher Rice, Sr.; and her great grandchild Gabriel Freeman Bordauax.
She is survived by: her husband Leonard Leon Rice of Pamilico County; and her daughter-in-law Linda Rice. She is also survived by four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
