He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Frances Jefferson; his son Phillip "Phil" Gene Simmons, Jr. (Melanie) of Plymouth; his siblings, Roy Simmons of Elizabeth City, William "Billy" Simmons of Elizabeth City, Shirley Simmons Wright (Horace) of Camden and Sella Kuno (Mike) of Camden; his grandchildren, William "Will" Simmons (Tori), Adam Simmons (Savanna) and Katherine Simmons; and his great grandchildren, Carter Steigerwald and Jovi Clair Simmons.
