He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Murray Brinn and Edith Woolard Brinn; his siblings, Sherial Brinn, C. F. Wallace, Emily Boyd and Wanda Allen; and his brother-in-law Tom Moore.

He is survived by: his wife Kay Jordan; his children, Crystal Lane Brinn of Brooklyn, NY and Murray Sammual Brinn of Raleigh; and his niece Jordan Dixon.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Eagle's Wings, P.O. Box 426, Washington, NC 27889.
