She was predeceased by: her parents, Tyna Oscar Cox and Lola Rae Waters Cox; her brother Kenneth Oscar Cox; and her grandson Clinton Warner. She is survived by: her spouse William Edward Cherry, Sr.; her children, Betty Lou Woolard of Washington, Linda Ray Foreman of Chocowinity and William Edward "Ed" Cherry, Jr. (Debora) of Washington; her sister-in-law Bobbi Cox of Pinetown; her grandchildren, Roxann Spain, Roger Warner, Chris Cherry, Tracie Cherry, Amanda Paramore and Brandon Cherry; her great grandchildren, Jessica Alligood, Samantha Polk, Gage Warner, Savannah Carawan and Gavin Paramore; and her great great grandchildren, Makayla Kirk and Phoenix Warner.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions be made to First Church of Christ, 520 East 10th Street, Washington, NC 27889.
