He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Joseph "L. J." Slann, Sr. and Helen Barrow Slann; and his sister Martha Slann Knowles. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Brinson; his children, Hunter Slann of Greenville, Anna Claire Slann of Charlotte and Evan M. Slann of New Bern; his stepson Brinson Langley of Raleigh; his siblings, Joe Slann (Chris) of Beaumont, TX and Loretta Slann Knowles of New Bern; and his mother-in-law Norleen Brinson of Washington.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one's choice.
