It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frank E. Duke Sr. of Washington, North Carolina, who passed away on April 5, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred "Douglas" Duke and Emma Lee Askew Duke; his wife Maria Stancill; and his siblings, Marion Boone (L. E. Boone) and F. Randolph Duke.
He is survived by: his daughter Angela Duke Bowen (David) of Williamston; his grandchild Emmalee Bowen; his son Frank E. Duke Jr. (Tracey) of Grimesland; his grandchildren, Thomas, Tyler and Tanner Duke; his brother Tony Duke (Linda) of Conway; his nieces and nephews, Fred R. Duke (Cynthia), Steve D. Boone, F. Otis Boone (Sandra), Mike O. Boone (Mary Liz), Tammy D. Brown (Gary) and Tina D. Ozmer; his cousin Linda Fornshell; and also Sue Duke of Littleton. He is also survived by three great nephews and two great nieces.
Due to the current Covid Pandemic a private graveside service for family will be held at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington officiated by Reggie Braziel.
