She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Harvey Tankard and Josephine Whitmel Nicholson Tankard; and her brother Larry Horne. She is survived by: her sister Josephine Lamberto of Raleigh; her nieces, Jody Springer (Jarimy) of Carolina Beach and Frances "Liza" Merrell (Clarke) of Morehead City; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Roman, Griffin, Josie, Noah and Marna.
