It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily Elizabeth Gountikas (Washington, North Carolina), born in Beaufort, North Carolina, who passed away on October 3, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gountikas and Beulah Gountikas; and her close friend Jonathan Latham. She is survived by: her siblings, Dorothy Challis (David Curtis) of Washington, NC, William Gountikas of Washington, NC, Grace Cox of Washington, NC, Bill Waters (Carrie) of Olympia, WA and Wayne Waters (Melanie) of Farmville, NC; her nieces and nephews, Dawn Hill Amick (Bradley), Taylor Hill (Olivia) and Abbey Potter (Anderson); and her great-nieces, Lib Amick and Harley Grace Hill.
