With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellis Xyvon Ross Jr. (Washington, North Carolina), born in Beaufort, North Carolina, who passed away on August 4, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis X. Ross Sr. and Sina Frances Rice Ross; his former wife Jane Penelope Kugler; his son Ellis X. Ross III; and his sister Thora Morris.
He is survived by: his wife Harriet Alice Respess; his daughters, Jan Cordon (Tracy) of Bath, Fran Crutchfield (Steve Keener) of Nags Head and Betsy Buchanan (Howard); his stepson Jay Grimes (Stephanie) of Washington; his grandchildren, Kain Ross (Laura Beth), Elise Manning (Walter), Selby Ross, Casey Cordon (Oliver Trueman), Ryan Cordon (Wei), Jamie, Katy Jane Crutchfield, Whitney Garcia (Ryan), Ellec Buchanan, Samuel, Olivia and William Grimes; and his close friend Jack Russell. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
