She was predeceased by: her parents, Halene Linton Gordon and Frank Vannott Gordon; her husband Johnny Godwin; and her granddaughter Patricia Cartwright. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Cartwright Clark (James) of Washington, NC and Bobby Cartwright of Greenville, NC; and her grandchildren, Clifton Pyle, Sabrina Pyle, Phillip Cartwright, Lyn Cartwright, Amanda Cartwright, Christina Cartwright and Mona Cartwright. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
