He is survived by: his wife Lois Harris Mercer; his children, Douglas Glenn Mercer, Jr. (Joan Mackey) and Stephanie Mercer Ingalls (Larry); his grandchildren, Carmen Mercer Woolard (Justin) of Washington, Aaron Mercer, Sierra Mercer, Reid Lassiter and Ava Ingalls; his great grandchildren, Vivian Woolard, Wyatt Woolard and Alayna Lassiter; and his brothers, Edward Mercer (Janet) of Washington and Ward Mercer (Lynn) of Tampa, FL..
