We are sad to announce that on October 20, 2019, at the age of 88, Doris Burbage Brooks Karnowski (Washington, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former spouse Braxton E. Brooks, Sr.; her husband Edwin Karnowski; her brothers, Rufus G. Burbage, Jr., David Burbage and James T. Burbage; her children, Patricia B. Clark and Terry W. Brooks; and her grandson Lee Burrow.
She is survived by: her children, Braxton E. Brooks, Jr. (Marion) of Newport, NC and Brenda B. Ingram of Newport, NC. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church of Washington, NC or a charity of one's choice.
