She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Jernigan and Nora Jernigan; her former husband James Thomas Harris, Sr.; her husband Roland Blount Modlin; and her son James Thomas Harris, Jr..
She is survived by: her grandsons, Jamie Harris and Horace Modlin; her daughters, Brenda Harris Griffin (Ray) and Debbie Harris Modlin (Blount); her grandchildren, Tracy Smith, Jennifer Jackson, Todd Griffin, Scott Griffin, Brad Griffin, Laura Holmes and Landon Modlin; her brother Thomas Daniel Jernigan; and her daughter-in-law Joan Harris. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
