He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall K. Hord and Anna Mae Burke Hord; his daughter-in-law Betty Hord; and his granddaughter Nicole Ellenburg. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hord of Washington, NC; his children, Marianne Hogan (John) of Madison, Marc Hord and Melinda Cordon (James) of Belhaven, NC; and his grandchildren, April Ellenburg, Amber Hord, Anna Hord, Tiffany Alvarez, Shelly Hord, Ethan Cordon and Callie Davis. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
