He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Harold Woolard and Sidney Ann Waters Woolard; and his brother Mitchel Woolard. He is survived by: his wife Jane Thomas Kornegay; his children, Terry Woolard (Kerri) of Boone, Christopher John Woolard (Antoinette) of Banner Elk, Thomas Franz (Kathryn Webster) of Wilmington, Brett O'Brien (Robert) of Washington and Erin Franz (Gregory Cushing) of Washington; his sisters-in-law, Kim Woolard of Washington and Anne Gray (Harry Frick) of Candler; and his nieces, Catherine Skobe, Cynthia Brown and Julie Brooks. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
