He was predeceased by: his parents, William John and Minnie Mae Paramore Mayo; and his siblings, William Mayo, Thurman Mayo, Melva Swiger, Annie Coover, Beatrice Woolard, Nettie Crisp, Lucille Moore and Joyce Mayo.
He is survived by: his sisters, Faye Mayo Williams (Orville) of Kingman, AZ and Brenda Mayo Cox of Washington, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
