It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dallas Herbert Simpkins of Washington, North Carolina, who passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Dallas Herbert may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dallas Herbert touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his brother Leon Hooks "Hooky" Simpkins, Jr.. He is survived by: his parents, Leon Hooks Simpkins, Sr. and Dorothy Rouse Simpkins of Washington; his daughters, Sydney Brooke Simpkins of Winston-Salem and Savannah Claire Simpkins of Winston-Salem; his sister Jessica Elizabeth Simpkins of Washington; and his nieces and nephews, Alexandra Elizabeth Woolard (Daniel), Avery, Noah, Addisyn of Blounts Creek and Austin Thomas Franz of Washington.
