He was predeceased by: his parents, Errol Tripp and Minnie Tripp; his father-in-law J. L. Carrington; his brother David Tripp; his siblings-in-law, JoAnn Norman and Jerrell Norman; his niece Leigh Norman; his brother-in-law Fred Woolard; his niece Crystal Finigan; and his brother-in-law Jim Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Carrington Tripp; his children, Sheree Tripp Goettman (Drew), Jean Tripp Foster (Jeff) and Errol Jay Tripp (Sharon); his grandchildren, Amber Hollowell, Jenny Hollowell, Robyn Goettman Evans, Everett Goettman, Zachary Foster, Claire Foster, Dylan Tripp, Dahlton O'Neal and Jarrett O'Neal; his mother-in-law Jackie Carrington; his siblings, Jesse Tripp (Juanita) and Sina Corbett (Joe); and his siblings-in-law, Juanita Tripp and Jimmie Carrington (Judy). He is also survived by six nieces and three nephews.
