He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Alligood of Washington, NC; his children, Allen Ray Boyd (Betsy) of Washington, Cindy Boyd Carawan of Washington, NC, Sherry Boyd Taylor (Jimmy) of Pinetops, NC and Kristi Boyd Woolard (Daniel) of Archer Lodge, NC.; his sister Joyce Boyd Godley of Washington; and his grandchildren, Michael Kosto, Justin Carawan, Kathy Taylor, Mary Taylor, Charli Boyd, Dusty Jarman, Amber Toften (Kobe), Walker Woolard, Emily Woolard and Christopher Woolard.
