He is survived by: his wife Margaret Hawley Moore; his children, Charles Joyce Moore, Jr of Merritt Island, FL. and Susan Moore Piercy (Gerald) of Raleigh; and his granddaughters, Katherine "Katie" Piercy and Melanie Piercy.
