She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Jackson Bell and Sue Swanner Bell. She is survived by: her husband William McDevett; her daughter Susan Alligood Stuart (Bill) of Cape Carteret; her grandsons, William McDevett Alligood III (Katherine) of Washington and Thomas Whitney Alligood (Mary Margaret) of Greenville; and her great grandchildren, William McDevett "Liam" Alligood IV, John Luke Alligood and Walker James Alligood. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
